As the leader of one of Aotearoa’s premier pan-genre dance platforms, the Festival Executive is responsible for overseeing the festival’s creative direction, financial management, and overall operational success.
Aaron Huata is an experienced leader, project manager, business analyst and producer, whose passion for the arts is matched by his commitment to elevating Aotearoa's dance landscape. As the CEO of Tempo Dance Festival, Aaron drives the organisation’s mission to showcase the diverse, dynamic, and innovative dance talent of Aotearoa. With a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of the performing arts, he plays a pivotal role in curating a festival that honours both tradition and contemporary expression.
With a background steeped in music composition, design, and creative strategy, Aaron brings a unique perspective to his role. He is dedicated to fostering collaborations that not only amplify artistic voices but also engage and inspire communities.
